I considered titling this blog “5 Things You Can Do Today to Start Losing Weight” but there are a few reasons why I didn’t. First off, healthy comes in many shapes, forms, and sizes. Just because someone is a size 6, it doesn’t equal healthy. Second, we spend way too much time focused on obtaining a beach worthy body, 6-packs, and biceps; when we should be focused on how we feel. I’ve found, that, when we shift our focus to becoming truly and holistically healthy, weight loss is a side effect, along with peace of mind, love for oneself, energy, and vitality. SO, while some of these things might aid in weight lost, they primarily focus on just creating a healthier lifestyle so that your whole body; mind, muscles, and mentality, feel good. Oh, and by the way, I totally ate that muffin.
With my passion for breakfast, I continuously encourage my kids to eat something fresh each morning. Today’s blog is for the them. I’m always suggesting we have “brain food” before we head off to school. Upon their suggestion, I’m posting one of their favorites. And, it includes spinach! This recipe is easy, approved by my kiddos and packed with good-for-your brain nutrients.
I believe it’s possible to feed our families mostly healthy meals even when we need to stick to a budget. My family included! We stick to a budget for most things. That’s why I have 23 ideas you can try when getting healthy on a budget. Check it out and add your own in the comments!
