Choosing to be healthy, using healthier ingredients, doesn’t have to break the bank. Plus, there is absolutely no need for fancy. I used to think that being a good cook, or a good nutrition coach, meant I needed to use exotic ingredients, and have fancy meals to share with clients and followers. What I’ve discovered is that most people are just trying to do the best with what they have, with whatever situation they are in. Enter these burgers our whole family loves and perhaps yours will too. As always, change it up the way you like it and have some fun!
Summer just wouldn’t be the same without a nice cool smoothie in the mix. They can also be a healthy addition to your regular rotation. Personally, smoothies have become my sweet fix. I know what you’re thinking…what, no ice cream and cookies?! Okay, I’ll admit to the occasional cookie. If you know me, you know I never say no to a cookie – life’s too short for that! But as I slowly started to shift myself into a diet that was filled with more whole (unprocessed) foods, smoothies just kind of happened, and I am so glad they did!
Personally, I always avoided making my own granola because I thought it would just take too long. But then I made it and realized its simplistic nature! Once you know how to do it you just change up the ingredients each time based on your own tastes. Plus, the kids love the way it makes the house smell.
